About Ken Hale
Hello, I’m Ken Hale. I am an amateur songwriter and poet from Upper Arlington, Ohio. My creative interests were cultivated early in life through various musical experiences as a saxophone player. I am also a self-taught pianist and have written music, lyrics and poems since the 1970’s. I have established this website as a means of sharing my humble words and music with whoever may find them interesting or meaningful. The importance of the gifts I have received through this music and poetry is best expressed in the following lyrics from a song that I wrote in 1980 called “Listen”:
My life is a song, don’t play it wrong,
Don’t take it lightly please, my life’s a melody.
I wrote these lines, I laid them down from deep inside of me,
They don’t come easily, I pick them carefully,
For you to know the heart of me.
