Commencement

This poem was written when I received my doctoral degree from the Ohio State University. It celebrates all those who have helped me on my journey (“I am, because we are”). The quote at the beginning is from Linda James Myers, who was one of my advisors. It was taken from her book entitled, “Understanding an Afrocentric Worldview: Introduction to an Optimal Psychology.”
