God’s Wedding Gift
Sky rumbles as we tie the knot in tethers
born another blustery day, another Station
far away, when life stood still and you and I
were left forever changed. New love, a wink,
and the wonder in that birth, not soon forgot,
but yet today we shivered and we cried, as
Father’s touch we did not recognize until this
clap of thunder brought us back, and until our
hearts recalled such moments then estranged.
And lest this sign be made for not, we’ve come
to see the gift He’s brought as a blessing to our
grateful lives, a message as this love we bind,
a God wink over vows we then exchanged.
