Good Enough

Moonbeams, a sparkle in her eye,
And my heart spreads its wings as if to fly.
Footsteps, the drumming of the sea,
Lays a rhythm for tender harmony.

But my voice was never strong enough for singing,
And they say that I’m not good enough to play,
But so sweet and clear, the sounds I hear,
That I must play for you today.

Snow falls, a rose upon his grave,
And our sorrow moves over us in waves.
The angel, a song upon her lips,
As she whispers the words I can’t forget.

But my voice was never strong enough for singing,
And they say that I’m not good enough to play,
But so sad and clear, the words I hear,
That I will sing for you today.
