Tristesse

Under my senses,
Beyond my feelings,
With no defenses,
I am alone in my heart;
But there is room for you.
Please stay away if your love’s untrue.

If I’m the right one,
That special someone,
You feel you know me,
And felt that way from the start.
If there is room for me,
Don’t let Tristesse take what’s meant to be.

I see a chance for the rainbow’s end.
My hopes arise, and then just when you lay my fears to rest
I hear her call again, Tristesse.

Tristesse is coming,
I feel her coming.
My heart is running,
But there is nowhere to go.
I can’t escape her hold.
Tristesse has power more than love I am told.
